Today I would like to take the time to do something that I really enjoy doing and that is to
build ,sorry correction for now create a custom gaming PC list of parts using the best, most powerful and reliable parts that money can buy. It’s my hope to build this monster or at least see my monster PC come alive if someone out there could build this beast of a computer.
This has been a hobby of mine to build Gaming and video editing PC’s and they can be a fun project and gives a sense of satisfaction that you have built something fun and interesting. So without further hesitation let’s start looking on the list of parts that we would need to bring this monster into reality:
1. The Case (System Unit) (X1)
A case must say something special about a PC, it should grab attention and leave nothing up to the imagination as to whats under the hood after all Gaming PC components are very expensive so why would you want to hide them away.
One of the best a most reliable cases that exemplifies this is the :Corsair Obsidian Series 900D Super Tower Computer Case. The 900D will house all your components comfortably, with all fifteen(15) fan and five (5) radiator mount points that will be needed to build the beast.
The 900D is made from Aluminium for durable and light weight construction that will last, ideal for the enthusiast that will be looking to upgrade is Rig in the future, which we all know will probably be the next siz months to a year, that why they call it bleeding edge technology.
2. Motherboard (X1)
You just got to love the black and red color scheme of the Asus Rampage IV Extreme LGA 2011 motherboard, it has more bells and whistles than you could ever need in a Gaming motherboard and best of all if the Red on Black is not floating your boat, then you can also check out the all Black Edition.
3. Processor (X1)
The Intel Core i7-3930K Hexa-Core Processor @ 3.2 Ghz is not only for show with a high clock speed, but this baby is a Hexa-core that’s six (6) physical cores and to compound that each core has two (2) threads making for a processor that for all intents and purposes having 12 virtual cores.
Your games and multimedia applications will fall to there knees and bow before the power of this processor.
4. Memory (X6)
No build is complete without a superior memory kit. Bring out the full power of this beast of a Gaming rig with the Corsair Dominator Platinum 64 GB (8×8 GB) DDR3 2133MHz (PC3 17066) that’s will leave every other memory kit in the dirt.
5. Power Supply (x1)
This monster will thrive on nothing less than cold raw power so no normal power supply will do the job, thus we chose Corsair Professional Series AX 1200 Watt ATX/EPS Modular 80 PLUS Gold. This PSU is is not only powerful but comes highly rated and is reliable and know for not quitting on you under pressure.
Best of all this unit is modular and will reduce the clutter of cables that is typical of traditional power supply units.
6. Storage (x1)
As a primary storage unit you will need a drive that’s not only high capacity but also very fast and reliable, Samsung Electronics 840 Pro Series 2.5-Inch 256 GB SATA 6GB/s Solid State Drive are backed by the world renowned Samsung brand so we are definitely betting on a sure thing.
7. Graphics Card (x2)
No gaming or editing rig is complete without the best Graphics card that money can buy, a Gaming rig is simply a sole less shell without a kick ass GPU behind the beast for this we chose. We chose dual Asus Geforce GTX 690 as anything more is overkill and is a waste of time in our opinion.
9. CPU Liquid Cooling
Normally I would suggest a custom loop but in this case a self contained liquid cooling unit is perfect as it does not require maintenance, simply install and forget it. The Corsair Hydro Series Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler or the H100i takes up where it’s predecessors left off providing superior liquid cooling all without having to break the bank.
10. Fan Controller
NZXT Sentry LX High Performance Fan Controller is ideal for turning your fans up to a buzzing hum for added cooling or turning them down to a whisper all while monitoring those unruly temperatures within the system unit of your computer.
Putting it all together.
Other than a few parts that include: Extra Hard drives or SSD drives, Blue Ray/DVD player, Extra cooling fans, thermal compound, cable sleaving and peripherals such as a Gaming Keyboard, we have but all listed the components to building one of the best Gaming and editing PC’s of the year 2014.
So what do you think, would you be crazy enough to build this Rig or do you think we over or under did the components we would love to pick your brain and hear your views on the matter below in the comments.
