Whats causing the Grey Screen Issue?
On your Macbook the Grey screen is most likely caused by the Color Filter feature. This may have been turned on in error and thus your current situation.

How to Fix Grey Screen Macbook?
To fix the Grey screen issue or other color screen problems do the following
1.Click the Apple logo upper left.
2.Go to System settings.
3.Select Accessibility.
4.Scroll down to Color Filters and turn the feature off.
Notice if its on that your screen goes back to normal.
