I am really excited about this article while being a little sad at the same time, I am on the verge of building a new Gaming PC Build 2015. The reason I am a bit sad is because my old Gaming Rig is on its last legs as the components are starting to fail this is after about 3 years or more of service. I know that’s a lot of years in computer hardware time but I decided that I was not going to upgrade for a while until some really great hardware was out that totally outpaced my current set.
Well that time has come as I had a power supply die and then the heart of my computer the Graphics card died and I decided instead of getting a replacement GPU I would simply build a brand new Gaming PC that had all the latest components that were the perfect balance of performance and price. I have finally decided on all the parts I want in this new build and I want you my readers to follow in the journey, I am going first feature the components I selected in this article and then do a follow up article where I feature the actual completed build.
So I intend to show you my selection of components below that I decided on using in case you would like to get any of the components yourself, I have already purchased each one and all I have to do now is wait until they arrive for the fun stuff to begin.
Gaming PC Build 2015
So here are the components that I went with, I really love these components and I can already imagine the great Gaming rig that they will be able to make, the parts will arrive within a week from Amazon:
1. MSI ATX DDR3 2600 LGA 1150 Motherboards Z97-G45 GAMING
This is one of the newest motherboards from MSI that features the Z97 chipset, I am loving the cool red and black theme that this board has and as a result I will be keeping the Red colored theme throughout this build. Take a closer look at this Motherboard in the full review.
2. MSI Computer Graphics Cards GTX 960 GAMING 2G
This GTX 960 from MSI is a great mid range card that will give you a great balance of performance and price. See the Full hands on review here.
3. G.Skill RipjawsX F3-14900CL9D-8GBXL 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1866MHz Desktop Memory Module
As you can see this 8 GB of G.Skill memory looks great and they match the color scheme of my board beautifully and the rest of the build. Take a better look in the review.
4. Intel Core i5-4690K Processor 3.5 GHz LGA 1150 BX80646I54690K
You got to love these latest generation processors they are very efficient and fast. I decided to go with the Core i5-4690K Processor 3.5 GHz which is highly rated and a great value processor for my Gaming PC build 2015. See how it performs.
5.Corsair Hydro Series H55 Quiet Edition Liquid CPU Cooler
I love these Liquid CPU coolers, I have always liked custom liquid coolers but I wanted to give one of these very cool designed self contained coolers a try. This liquid cooler cools like a dream see the details here.
6. Corsair Carbide Series Air 540 High Airflow ATX Cube Case
I fell in love with this case the moment I saw it, its unique in its design and it has a double-sided design and best of all it has great air flow in the front like no other case around to keep your components cool which results in longer lasting components. so you can see why I went with this case. This is one cool case check out the detailed review here.
7.Lepa MaxBron 1000W 80PLUS Bronze Hybrid Modular ATX Power Supply
Finally I decided on this great power supply to deliver the power that all these components needed its pushing 1000 watts and the price cannot be beat.See the Review of this Power Supply.
So guys these are all the components that are a part of my gaming PC build 2015 in total this build costs $975 US dollars total and my main plan is to use this rig for Gaming, editing and everyday tasks so stay tuned for part 2 of this article where I will show you this PC completed when I get all thee components and build this awesome Gaming rig. Please leave your comments below and share your opinions on the components that I have decided to go with, I am very excited and I am looking forward to reigniting my love of PC Gaming.
