A common issue that tends to happen from time to time with Samsung devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S24 and S25 is the Moisture Detected warning Won’t Go away Problem.
While the warning is meant to protect your device, it does get in the way and cause users not to be able to charge their smartphones. This article seeks to show you the procedure to get your device charging again in the event you get this error on your Samsung smartphone.
The Error
The error usually pops up in my experience if you have been near water or in the rain. Its usually unexpected and if you have Samsung smartphones over the years you are bound to run into this problem at one time or another. Plus you get that annoying beeping that continuously warns you with this error.
Charging is impossible while the error is happening and what really makes this error particularly annoying.

The error reads:
Check Charger/USB Port. There’s moisture or foreign material in your charging/USB port. Check before charging.
The detailed warning goes on to say: We’ve detected moisture or foreign material in your charging/USB Port.
Check your charging/USB port for foreign material such as dust or debris. To prevent damage to your phone, don’t plug anything in until the charging port is clean and the moisture is gone.
To dry the port, shake out any moisture, then wait for it to dry, which take several hours. You can speed up drying by pointing a fan or dryer (Cool air only) at the port.
In the meantime, you can charge your phone wirelessly.
Can I just go ahead and try to charge my phone with the adapter?
Do note that this is a safety feature and its purpose is to prevent damage to your device in cases where there may be moisture or something in your charge port that may cause the device to get damaged or cause a electrical short circuit.
I suggest that you get rid of the error before you try to charge using the charge port.

How to Fix the Issue?
To fix this problem do the following;
1.Remove any moisture from the USB port. I suggest you use a piece of tissue paper or Paper towel and crease or fold it to a fine point and clean your USB port. Remove any dust or moisture from the port.
2.You can also place your Phone charge port over a dehumidifier for 5 to 15 minutes or so to evaporate the moisture. That’s what worked for me. If you have fan, hair drier or anything that can drive off moisture that will work too.
3.Another solution is to use a Wireless charger. This will bypass the charge port and allow your device to charge without worry. You can also use another Samsung with wireless Power Sharing to easily charge.
