How to Unmount SD Card Android 12


Its never a good idea to unmount your SD card without first properly ejecting or Unmounting it in the Android interface. In this guide I will show you How to umount SD card in Android 12. So if you have the latest version of Android this should help you in safely disconnecting your Micro SD Card.

Why Do this?

If you simply eject the SD card from the phone while its on you will get a error and your device can start behaving abnormally or restart randomly. After all files are shared between the SD card that may be in use or are being copied.

How its all done?

In order to unmount the SD card go ahead and

1.Go to settings.

2.Select Battery and device care.

3.Click Storage.

4.Swipe over from right to left to see the SD card.

5.Click three dots upper right and choose unmount.

After this when it indicates your SD card is unmounted go ahead and eject it and you wont get errors. In case you already ejected the SD Card and got a error read my article here.
