So the latest update is out for a particular app on your iPhone. You know because all your friends have it but you check and there is no update.

In most of these cases when you check for an update and no new one is there when there should be is caused because your iOS version is outdated and you have the latest update for that version.
In such cases you will need to update your phone. To do this:
1.Go to settings.
2.Next go to general.
3.After this look for and select:Software update.If one is available after the check then click update.
4.After updating then go back to the App store and check for the update of the app you should find that there are updates.
