Acer Aspire 5 Disassembly


So you have a Acer Aspire 5 and you want to open it up for cleaning, replacing the Motherboard,Battery, RAM, Hard Drive or so on and you have no clue how to open up or disassemble the laptop at all.

My Acer Aspire 5 Disassembly guide will walk you through the teardown process and show you how to do things step by step,what tools you will need and much more.

What you will need?

All you need for this disassembly or teardown is:

1.A Acer Aspire Laptop

2.A Philips screwdriver or screwdriver set.

How to Disassemble the Acer Aspire 5?

1.Power off your Laptop and remove any attached accessories.

2.Flip over the Laptop and remove all the screws on the underside including the the ones in the Hard drive and RAM compartment.

3.Remove the screws from the hard Drive of which there are four and disconnect and remove the hard drive.

4.Use a old ID or Old cred card and get in-between the groves of the lower half of the laptop.Use the card to separate both halves of the laptop.They should snap and separate. Don’t force anything and take your time.

5.Make sure there is nothing attached between the back cover and the main portion of the Laptop that may need detaching before fully separating.

6.You can now see the components of the Laptop in full. You can now remove the battery, Motherboard, processor and so on as needed or simply clean your laptop.
