Product Description:
The A-Zone Smart Battery Camera is a very cool design. Its box like in shape with a black front and white body. The sensors on the front include the camera and motion sensor. When activated you can see the power button on the side light up or the in the dark red led at the front when motion is sensed.
The Camera comes with a mounting bracket which can be fixed to the wall with some drilling and it can be pivoted and allow for the perfect positioning.
It also has a nice weight to it. The MicroSD is included and installed for you out the box. This device is also battery powered and needs charging before use so make sure to fully charge it up. I suggest you use your phones adapter for charging or your computer to charge it by USB.
The App and Functionality
To control the IP camera you will need to install the CloudEdge App and setup your Camera. The app gives signal strength from your router and battery levels.
You can see live preview or playback from alerts that the camera recorded. The camera normally stays asleep until it detects movement and then it will wake up. You can also disable the motion detection when you are in the area and enable it later when you are leaving home.
The battery life is very good and it can last a month easy. The battery life will vary based on how much you access the camera and how much it activated by movement in a area.
The night vision and overall picture quality is great and sharp. The motion detection is on point and you can hear very clear audio from the device. I also find that its also only allows you to access the camera from one device and you can’t have multiple login for security reasons.
My Experience
The A-Zone Wireless Rechargeable Battery Powered WiFi Camera is one of the better IP Camera that has its own built in battery that I have ever had the pleasure to test. Its really well thought out device that’s feature rich.
The motion detection only gives an alarm when something triggers it and there is almost never a false alarm. You do have to charge it again every few months but considering its performance normally that’s a acceptable requirement. If you want to overcome that then get a solar panel to charge the camera as needed in the day automatically.
The only issue you may have is if you have a big house and the WiFi cant reach the device depending on where you installed it. In my experience though that’s hardly a big problem as I use a WiFi range extender to extend the WiFi to those far out areas of the house.
I have had no sudden drop in signals and weird behavior as the camera works quite well and delivers very good video performance to clearly hear whats happening outside or inside your home while you are there or away.
